Kudos
TJ Petruzzelli should be commended for his eagerness to take on another role here at school. Over the years, he has helped in so many areas of the school when there's a huge need but taking over Liz's classes was a new one for him. TJ is professional, reliable, and so easy to work with. The school, math dept. and students owe him a huge thanks for stepping up as a long-term sub while Liz is out on maternity. He's working really hard and doing a great job.

Please review your student's 504/IEP MCAS accommodations. If a change to a plan is recommended, the change should be based on data and should be brought up at a Team meeting for discussion. Please speak with Katie or the student liaison ASAP about any accommodation concerns you may have if a team meeting has already occurred.
MCAS is right around the corner (ELA in March, Math in May, Science in June) and student accommodation planning takes time to prepare. Last-minute student changes can cause stress for all involved.
Rethinking Grading Website: Assessment Specialist John Scopelleti created this website to house all of the data he’s collected through surveys, focus groups, and interviews over the past few months. It is live and linked off of the Programs tab of the SST website. Please feel free to take a look and share it far and wide. Many thanks to Crystal for the idea and to Joe E. for helping get it posted so quickly!
