Co-op Attendance: It’s very important that all shop teachers are using the correct attendance codes for students approved for co-op. If a co-op senior is not present in the shop, they should be marked as “COOP” in PowerSchool. We will update their attendance if they have not met the required co-op hours.
Seniors without Co-op Jobs: Please review your students on this sheet, “22-23 Seniors by Shop”. If a student is not on co-op, please identify whether you would recommend them for co-op, why or why not, or any reason they may not be interested in co-op at this time.
Co-op Timecards: We are working on a better way for the senior teachers to receive the co-op student and employer timecards. You will begin receiving them via email starting next week so be on the lookout for those. We will also continue saving them to the classroom folder. If you would like assistance organizing these emails into a separate folder in your inbox, please reach out to Nicole and we will help you set that up. The goal is to make the timecard process easier for all!
Bottle Cap Wars!:
Earn 400 caps for your program, what can travel all around the world without leaving its corner?
Email Kristin Bateman with the answer. First shop to answer correctly will win the caps.
Senior Privilege: Once again, we will be instituting the senior privilege of leaving at 1:45 during academic week starting Monday, December 5th.
In order for a student to be eligible for this privilege, they need to maintain a stringent minimum grade in all classes and have permission on file with the school.
Eligibility is only checked prior to the start of a new academic cycle. If a student’s grades make the eligible during the current cycle, they will not have access to the privilege until the next new cycle.
A list will be provided every Monday with the list of seniors who have met the eligibility requirements for that week.
If eligible, students will be able to leave everyday, but do not need to make use of this privilege if they choose not to do so.

Season of Giving!:
Staff, thank you for your donations! We were able to give away gift cards for seven of our families who needed an extra scoop this Thanksgiving season!
Graphics Mojo: If you have a job request for graphics, please use the Mojo app in Google (no hallway, email or over the phone requests). Similar to our IT friends we are trying to keep an equitable workflow request from one location. Here are the video instructions on how to create the mojo.
Student Focus Groups: Please see this Sheet for a list of seniors who will be invited to participate in focus groups on grading during Period 9 on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. If you need to work with a student on a day they’re scheduled for a focus group, let John Scop. know, and he’ll be sure the kid goes to you.
