5.3.2021

MAY it be a good month for all!

Staff Parking: In another sign of a return to normalcy, we have begun to once again park the buses by the concession stand at night.  To ensure there is space for them we are closing the yardarm by the mods post 2:35 pm. Therefore for those staff who park behind the building please leave campus in a clockwise motion around the building being sure to watching for students as the exit the 300 wing doors.

Massachusetts Vocational Technical Teacher Testing Program (VTTTP): The state has released next years testing dates for the written and performance exams.  Those in need of these tests should please see the flyer for information.

Teacher Educator Appreciation Week: It truly does take a village. Be on the lookout for a series of acknowledgements throughout the week for all the hard work everyone has been putting in all year.

MCAS Update: We are testing on May 10th, 12th, 24th and 26th. I am including the schedule for these day. Academic and vocational staff should check the schedule for the academic/related schedule on these dates. There are still changes being made to students based upon IEP/504 needs.

Thank you for all those that participated in last week's MCAS training please sign up for one of the sessions that Laurie shared with everyone on Friday.

Due to technical difficulties, the screencast has been delayed in production. It will be published separately early in the week.

From the Vocational Office:

Weekly Projects: This week, carpentry started building a handicap ramp at one of the town buildings in Norwell. This ramp is replacing a rotted temporary one that was installed 20 years ago.

SkillsUSA: We are thrilled to bring you photos of the 2021 SkillsUSA State Conference. After the Covid-19 shut-down last year, SkillsUSA was unable to hold the State and National conferences in 2020. This year, with vaccinations in place and more knowledge on how to mitigate the spread, SkillsUSA was able to hold its first in-person event for the school year at BVT this past Friday. More photos and medal announcements to come this week.
