Faculty and staff person of the month: First off, we'd like to acknowledge everything everyone is doing day in and day out for our students! The following folks, in no particular order, were nominated by the peers for the month of April:
Carolyn Rutkowski
Todd Zahurak
Toni Bourgea
Lisa Bellantoni
Rachel Haines
Janine Mitchell
As we know from all those awards shows, it is just an honor to be nominated, but we will announce the winners on Wednesday.
Graduation Update: The graduation committee met last week and began to map out what the end of year activities could look like for the Class of 2020. This committee is made up of members of the senior class, parents of seniors, staff and administration.
- At this time, we are putting together a virtual acknowledgement of the Class of 2020 for Friday, June 5th, which would of been their traditional graduation day.
- We have a number of ideas for what a graduation could look like in early August, but are waiting until the Governor's social distancing announcement due on May 18th to decide the best option we have availed to us.
- Prom decisions for August will be based on Governor Baker's social distancing rules as well.
Teacher Appreciation Week: During what was a traditional school year this would've been the Teacher Appreciation Week, which including a breakfast from the parent's groups, thank you postcards from the students and shall we say a "quirky" acknowledgement from the leadership team. Remember last year's snack carts. Whatever form these recognitions take this year, please know that they our heartfelt and they acknowledge how quickly and astonishing well you have adapted to the new normal of remote learning. Thank you again for all you're doing.
