CPI Restraint Training will be happening at the end of this month. Please send me an email if you're interested in this Saturday Morning Training. I need to order workbooks.

Senior Privilege began today. Students who do not have a 9th period accredited course and have at least a 70 in every class, as well as perfect attendance (no unexcused tardies, absences or dismissals) over the last ten days, were eligible. This meant 46 seniors could participate if they desired.

We will be doing another check for acceptance on February 4th, but students can lose the right at any time due to grades or attendance issues.

NAEP - National Assessment for Education Progress - will be in school on Monday, February 11th, to conduct a series of assessments on about half of our seniors. Green Initiative: We have had a strong start to implementing a school wide recycling program here at South Shore Tech. We ask academic teachers to please continue to place your blue recycle containers in the hallway for afternoon pick up after 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Vocational teachers we ask that you please continue to have your students empty the recycle bins as needed as part of shop clean up.

Please continue to encourage students throughout the building to recycle and place items in the correct bins/dumpsters. We appreciate your support and look forward to making South Shore Tech greener in 2019!

Team Meeting Responsibilities and Etiquette
  • Complete the Education Assessment B prior to the Team meeting.  It's your responsibility to complete the form on time.
  • Be on time to a Team meeting if you are designated to attend.  The meeting begins when all parties are present.  DESE requires all participants to be present and we will continue to remain in compliance.
  • Attending a Team meeting is not an inconvenience, it is part of your job.
  • Be polite, compassionate, and kind when addressing parents.   If you sit at a meeting with a negative attitude with your arms crossed, you will be asked to leave. Student Services works extremely hard in maintaining supportive and kind relationships with parents and families. No one should have a negative presence at a Team meeting.
  • Come to the meeting to share how you support the student in class, implement the IEP, and will continue to provide supports to the student.   It's a Team meeting - TEAM - discuss ideas/ways to reach goals and change behaviors.
