12th Grade Related Instructors - Approximately a month ago, Laurie Litchfield shared with every shop a list of names for their seniors. Well, the time is up! Please ask the students for the exact name they want on their diploma including middle names or not. Pass this information along to Laurie with the forms she provided.
Exploratory Instructors - A reminder that this week will be two 2-day exploratories: Monday/Tuesday and Wednesday/Thursday.
Student Focus Groups: During the week of 11/14, Assessment Specialist John Scopelleti (aka “Assessment Guy”) will run student focus groups to discuss grading. These will happen in Room 317 during Period 9, and John will send out a list of invited students to all educators. If you need to work with a student that is scheduled for a focus group, please let John know, and he’ll be sure the student meets with you instead.
Advisory: Advisory is Tuesday, November 8th at 6:30. Here is the information sheet with details about the event. Please remember to create and send a google meet invitation ONLY if you have remote attendees (refer to your advisory list for RSVPs).
Co-op & Grades: We completed a grade check for all co-op seniors this week. All students who have one or more grades that do not meet the minimum for co-op (70 in academics, 80 in shop) have been notified. These students are required to stay after school twice per academic week in homework club or with a teacher to maintain their co-op status. If students decide to stay with a teacher as opposed to going to room 103, we ask that the teacher email VocOffice@ssvotech.org to confirm the students' attendance with you. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
