Absent Work
Once again, if you are out of school and send in your plans via google docs, please be sure to give Mark Aubrey editor rights so that he can share it with the staff who will be covering your classes. Thank you
Attendance Protocols
A reminder that anytime you leave campus with students, be it a field trip or part of a regular shop day, you need to let the main office be aware of who is with you BEFORE you leave campus.
Please remember to take attendance first thing in the morning for all Block 1 classes. We have an automated attendance system that sends a robocall to the families of absent students. As you can imagine it causes great concern for the family when they get a call saying their student is not in school. Please be diligent and build this activity into your morning warm-ups.
Spirit Week & Pep Rally
Monday - Dress as your Favorite Teacher Day
Tuesday - Anything but a Backpack Day (This one was quite creative last year.)
Please be supportive as the student express their creativity.
Wednesday - Class Color Day
Staff are invited to wear their SST attire.
On Wednesday, we will be bringing back our annual pep rally.
Students will be dismissed from their block 3 classes at approximately 10:00 am.
They should leave their book bags and school materials in the classroom and shop. We will be dismissing them back to their classrooms. (We are doing this due to space restraints
The teacher should accompany their students to the gym for the festivities which will include:
A special guest emcee for this year’s festivities,
Recognition of our fall sports teams and players who have earned awards,
Information about the Thanksgiving game,
The cheerleaders will perform,
A series of student contests and races, and if time permits a special contest
Students will be dismissed back to their Block 3 location for their materials and onto the buses.
Thanksgiving Football Game
We will be playing against Holbrook at 5:00 pm.
4:45 pm - Recognition of the Viking Seniors
5:00 pm - Kick-Off
Halftime - Recognition of the 20th Anniversary of the 2002 State Superbowl Champions
Coaches and Players will be in attendance.
