Blogger Emails:
As everyone is now aware, the blog is no longer emailed to members. Google has gotten rid of this option. We are currently looking at other methods of communication and will keep you apprised.
Professional Development Requests:
A number of faculty have put in professional development requests, but have not chosen an evaluator as part of the process on the form. Please choose your supervisory evaluator so that they can approve your PD.
Building Maintenance:
We have a few leftover projects from the summer that need attention. Please be aware that members of the maintenance staff will be painting during the school day to help us clean up this punch list.
Bus Routes:
As is typical for this time of year, we will be adjusting bus routes this week to ensure that buses are to school on time. Thank you for your patience.
Faculty Community Assignments:
Thank you to all who signed up for a community event for the 2022-2023 school year. You may use this link to view your assignment for this year.
For those who have not had the opportunity to sign-up yet, you may do so by clicking this link and filling out the form. Please keep in mind that some activities are full or close to full. This is a contractual requirement this school year.
Exploratory:
Please have grades for E1 entered into PowerSchool & GoogleClassroom by the end of day Wednesday 9/14. This will allow us time to verify grades are being entered correctly and to make any necessary changes. For directions on how to set up PowerSchool or GoogleClassroom for exploratory purposes please click here.
Cooperative Education:
We currently have 34 seniors approved for co-op! We will share the most current list of approved co-op students every Monday Message. For more information, visit our Cooperative Education website.
Please remember that approval times for students vary greatly from company to company. It could take a few days to a few weeks to get everything we need from the employer. Students are not approved until they receive an email from the Vocational Office with their start date and other important co-op information. If you or your students are unsure about the status of the student's co-op placement or where we are in the process, please reach out at any time.
Co-op Timecards:
Timecards have started coming in! All senior teachers have been invited to the Senior Co-op Classroom. There, you will find the folder containing student and employer timecards organized by co-op week. Please let Nicole know if you have any issues or questions.
Teachers should share their student's employer timecards by request. This is the only way they can be shared with the student so they can see the feedback provided by employers. If employers regularly fail to fill in a timecard/eval, teachers will be asked to follow up with the supervisor directly.
Vocational Teacher Curriculum Drive:
PLC minute templates have been added to each department's folder, please make sure minutes are kept up to date after each PLC meeting. In addition, the shop break time has been listed on the document. Please indicate when your department will be taking its 10-15 minute break.
Expectation sheet templates were provided earlier this year, please make sure the sheets are up to date, labeled 22/23 and stored under program expectations in your department folder. Older sheets can be deleted or archived.
