 ELA MCAS

Thank you to everyone for their cooperation with the schedule and room adjustments so that we could administer the ELA MCAS over the last two weeks. We were able to complete testing this week for the students who were unable to take the test last week. Just like our students, we learn by doing at SST, and we will be making a couple of adjustments to our procedures as we move toward the Math test in mid-May and the Science tests in early June. More to come.

Evaluation Season

All educators in a summative evaluation year are expected to provide their evaluator with the expected summative resources by Monday, April 25th.  You may provide them in a binder or a Google Folder. Please do reach out to your evaluator with questions when you have them.

PLC Topics

If your program is still working to identify PowerSchool standards as well as identifying when each student will be expected to be proficient in a given standard (objective on CTE frameworks) please keep working on that

When complete please take an opportunity to review your program work habits rubric. If you do not have one work habits rubric used by all members of your program (there may be a different one in shop and related) please work to develop one.

Credit For Life Fair - April 13, 2022 - 7:45 - 10:20

It's back! We are so grateful to bring back this important senior class program. This year we are hosting a hybrid event. The "math" will be completed online and the students will converse with credit for life booth volunteers to work on speaking and listen skills on the topics covered in the online credit for life program. The students will dress for success and participate in a working breakfast where they will practice professional communication skills with industry representatives, staff, and school committee members. We encourage all staff members who are available to join us for breakfast in the cafe from 7:45- 8:15.  There will be slight changes to academic day. The schedule updates will be provided to all staff in the next Monday Message.

Guidance Classes: This week, all 9th-grade guidance classes will be held in the gym. Please make sure that the 9th graders are aware.

Advisory: Thank you to the Vocational Instructors for putting in a long day hosting a successful Spring Program Advisory meeting last Thursday evening! The meetings had some of the best turnouts I recall and were well run and organized.

I want to give a special thanks to Leeanne, Jeff, and Charles, along with the Culinary Arts students, for the excellent appetizers, dinner, coffee, and desserts they made and served. I’d also like to thank the horticulture students and staff for creating floral centerpieces and the electrical students and staff for hanging all of the program banners on the light poles outside last week.
