SMART Goals - A reminder to staff that if you are in the first year of your evaluation cycle you need to fill out form 1, the self-assessment, and 2A, the SMART goal creation template, in teachpoint.  For returning staff you should have your goals drafted from the end of last year. Please be sure to share these forms, but DO NOT sign them electronically. 

• If you would like to change a SMART goal at the mid-point of your evaluation cycle, you can. Please create a new form 2A with the SMART goals you want for this school year and be sure to again share it. 
• If you are unsure of where you are in your evaluation cycle, you can look back at last year's forms and if you ended with a 4B, you are entering the second year of a two year cycle.  If you ended with Form 5, you are beginning a new evaluation cycle. 

OPEN HOUSE - A reminder that we will be running Open House session on Saturday, November 14th from 10 am to 12:30 pm and Tuesday, December 1st from 6 pm to 8:30 pm.  

There will be a meeting of the vocational staff on Monday afternoon, November 2nd, immediately after school to discuss the look of this event. Notice the date change!

Discipline and Harassment Form - Starting this week please complete this form for all incidents of discipline or situations that you are aware of (not just reported to you) that may be considered bullying, hazing or harassment. We know that new processes take some time to become a part of our regular practice, so please don't be surprised that if you send an email, that we reply back with a request to complete a form. 

Attendance Reminder: Please DO take period attendance daily. In this unique year, we will be tracking period attendance as well as daily attendance.  

From the Vocational Office:

Advisory - Our Advisory Committee Meetings will take place this week:

• October 27th, 7pm: Automotive, Culinary, MFW, Electrical, Horticulture, and Graphics
• October 29th, 7pm: Allied Health, Carpentry, CIT, Cosmetology, HVAC, and MET

The agenda was sent to advisory committee members on Friday and your minutes template was sent last week. Completed minutes will be due to Nicole by Friday, November 6th.

SkillsUSA - SkillsUSA will happen this year. The Fall State Leadership Conference will be virtual and only a few students will attend. Districts will be February 26th and will be held either virtually or in person. Please have an internal shop test and report the top four students to Lisa Bellantoni by Thanksgiving. Those top four students will move on to districts. We have been told that States (04/29-05/01) and Nationals (June) will go on either as hybrid or in person.

BR/Hall Coverage - We have a new schedule for the next four weeks. The most notable change is in the 735-840 time slots for vocational staff. As always please check the list at around 730am for that day and make sure you scroll all the way to the right. If you check it sooner than that it maybe incorrect as we have to make adjustments once we know who is out that day. 

Reminders: 

• Fully Remote Lesson Plans: due 10/30 - 1 day lesson plan due (Blocks 1-4) for all grade levels, except exploratory. Due 11/6 -  5 day lesson plan due (Blocks 1-4) for all grade levels, except exploratory.
• Ventilation - Please make sure all shop exterior windows and doors are open throughout the day. If you don't have an exterior door, please make sure your interior door is open.
