Hello,
We are reviving the weekly Monday Message and of course because it is 2020, the first one is for a Tuesday. It just seems fitting, doesn't it?
This is an opportunity for the Leadership Team to share a number of items at once instead of a stream of separate emails. We know you will find it worthwhile.
Faculty support of our programs: Please continue to support our vocational programs where and when you can do so. Automotive is excepting work on staff vehicles and we all know Culinary Arts is doing box lunches, salads, and limited entrees. Please continue to support them and also remember, "No deliveries this year." The principal learned this one the hard way.
An Admissions Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 22nd, at 7 PM. This meeting will allow Amy Dow and members of the Leadership Team to talk to perspective 8th grade parents & students from our sending towns about what the application process will look like for the Class of 2025.
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 29th.
- We will have two sessions.
- The first will be from 2:35 until 3:30 PM for academic and vocational teachers.
- The second will be from 5:00 until 8:00 PM for academic teachers only. Teachers will be at home for these meetings.
- These will be all virtual meetings.
- We will be utilizing the same system as we have before for pre-registered meetings only this time they will be virtual.
- Teacher and Parent will both be sent an invite at the prescribed time and the meeting will count down until its' 5-minute conclusion.
- The teacher will then be directed to the next meeting.
- We will include the usual break time throughout the evening for staff.
- Parents were made aware of this event over the weekend and we have a goal of opening the sign-up window on Sunday, October 19th, at 7 PM.
We have been off to a fast start this year, to say the least. The shops and staff continue to do amazing work around the building whether it is wiring the football field lights, building a ticket booth, landscaping the grounds, moving furniture in and out of rooms 3 times, disinfecting the building, making us those delicious box lunches and lastly, the ever-dreaded bathroom duty! We are by far giving our students the best education possible and for that we THANK YOU!!!
We have included the Bathroom and Hallway monitor list for easy referencing. Please make sure you scroll all the way to the right in order to view the entire sheet. Don’t forget to make sure you are on the correct day and cycle.
If you have received new equipment over the summer please update the inventory photo list with a photo of the item and name plate. The folder for this is located in the Teacher Curriculum Materials Drive>Vocational Teachers. Within your shop, you will see a folder called Inventory Photos which contains the inventory list and a place to put your photos.
It’s budget season! Start to think about short term budget needs as well as long term budget needs. Anything thing that is over 5k is a capital expense and should be planned out for purchasing.
Have a great week!
