This week's Fun Friday is Red Sox Day as the start the playoffs that evening.
Staff Trivia Night:
I am gauging the interest in hosting a staff trivia night sometime in the middle of the school year. Staff and significant others would gather at a venue off campus and enjoy a night of trivia while remembering that we do like each other as people ...for the most part. I would cover the trivia and hopefully get the venue donated or at a discounted rate. You'd be responsible for your food and drink. Please fill out the spreadsheet below if you'd be interested.

A round of Thank yous:
Thank you to Matt Fallano, Jane Lombardi & Julie Woods to agreeing to comprise the staff portion of the School Council. Our first meeting is October 17th at 3:30 PM.
Thank you to the staff who came and supported the Student Council Meat Raffle on Friday Night, Lisa B., Liz Golden, TJ Petruzelli, Matt Doyle, Bob Foley and myself. Matt Fallano and Erin Brennan did a great job and we raised over $1800 for the student council.
Thank you to Mr. Jerry Shaw for filling in as the Voice of Viking Football this past-Saturday.
Thank you to the great many staff, parents, and students who came out yesterday to the 2nd Annual Kenny Thayer Car Show. Cars starting arrive 90 Minutes prior to the event and just kept on rolling in. Kudos to Charles Doucet, Lisa B, Paul Bello, Bob Mello and the Automotive guys for handling logistics on the staff side.
Please get out and get involved in your school!
Now for a different kind of Thank you:
We have been in school for less than a month and a great many staff has asked to leave early for an appointment during 9th period. I understand once in a while the nature of the appt. makes this necessary, but we truly can not support coverage of teachers leaving prior to 2:25 PM. I thank you for in the future making your appointments at times that allow you to leave school at 2:30 PM.

Many freshman parents have started to reach out about their child’s grades, classroom accommodations, and course curriculum. They are nervous about a new school year and are their child’s biggest advocate. Teachers and counselors, thank you! Thank you for responding to parents with kindness and compassion while being honest about our school and the expectations in your classroom.
