Rethinking Grading Expectations: John Scop. here. With many thanks to the folks who attended the modifying rubrics session during our PD last Wednesday, I want to clarify the expectations for getting ready for next year. Different departments are in different places, facing different challenges, which may have led to confusion about who is doing what. Nevertheless, I want to take ownership of the confusion: I am the grading guy, and it’s my responsibility to provide a more clear message. I hope this rubric helps with that. Let me know if it doesn’t!
