4.10.23

 April 10, 2023

Kudos:

Thank you to the cafeteria staff and Deb Beary for feeding everyone at this school daily.  The hard work and the energy in the cafeteria is always present.  You all work hard, keep us safe, and make it fun for the students to eat lunch together. Thank you for your united front and teamwork.

Eddie Carll: When track was down and out a coach Eddie had already volunteered to help out whenever students needed. He ended up committing to help coach our SST track team that has nearly tripled in size over the last year. You'll see him running laps and doing planks alongside our student athletes. He always joins with a smile and makes the kids laugh. We appreciate this!

Kudos to Rachel Ellison for the tremendous job she is doing in our Allied Health program. Her steady presence and educational efforts have gone a long way to helping give the department some stability over the past 6 months.

Note: Kudos are staff generated. Want to celebrate a colleague? Submit a write-up to kudos@ssvotech.org

Main Office Access:

In an effort to control the flow of students into the main office, we are closing the door and requiring all students to check in at the window with the receptionist.  These new changes do not affect the staff in anyway, but we do ask that you check-in with Laurie before seeing Mark or Sandy. Thank you.

April 12th Credit for Life Fair

SST is excited to bring back a full scale Credit For Life Fair that begins with a breakfast mixer and ends with a buffet lunch provided by the fine staff and students from the Culinary Arts Program. Click here to review the PPT presented to our volunteers, it should provide a good overview of what the students will experience. We hope that all staff take an opportunity to walk through the fair and chat with our students about the experience.

Below is some essential information.

Staff Parking: We are expecting approximately 30 guests from the outside to help us with this great event.  If you park in spots that
