2.14.22

Cyber Security Training for PDPs: As we begin another round of cyber security training from the state, I am pleased to announce that we will be able to issue 4 PDPs for staff that complete the entire 4 hours of training throughout the school year. Please keep in mind, that in order to count PDPs with the state for re-licensure they must be bundled into groups of ten in the same area.

Photos needed: I know Steve Culp sent this out earlier last week, but it is worth repeating and emphasizing again. If you have photos from your classroom, shop, club, or school event we would love to have access to them for the yearbook, and perhaps other media postings. (This will aid one of the goals of the current School Council, to promote school activities outside the school for community awareness.)

  • We would love to get any action shots or candids of kids at sports from coaches.
  • We would also like any shots from the Shops, either in the Shop spaces, on the job around the school,  on-site for a job, or even coop.
  • We would also like any academic shots you might have or will gather from your classrooms. "Rocket Blasting, Barbie Bunji, classroom discussions. etc."
  • Any candid club shots would be great as well.
We ask that you tag your shots with the group and experience.  i.e. Robotics Club @ Vocational Tournament, JV Baseball vs. Cape Tech, etc.

Vocational Teachers: If your student’s grade does not meet the minimum requirement of an 80 in shop, please do not sign off on the student’s co-op agreement. You should communicate with your student that they need to work on their grade before you will sign them out. Thank you!

Spring Advisory: Our Spring Advisory meeting will be held on Thursday, March 31st. Details are still being finalized. In the meantime, please review and update your advisory lists. Invitations will go out on March 1st, so please make sure your list is complete before that date. PLEASE NOTE: Your shop’s advisory list is yours to edit. Please delete advisors who are inactive, are no longer interested, etc. and add advisors as needed. Each shop’s list is locked so only the people from that department can edit. If you are having issues, please contact Nicole.
Vocational Summer Camps:
We are planning to run Vocational Summer Camps for 2 weeks in July: July 11 - 15 and July 18 - 22, from 8am - 12pm, Monday through Friday. If you have not filled out this survey please do so in order to let us know if you are interested or not. We will follow up information in the near future.
