Marching toward spring!
Athletics: Fall II sports begin this week in earnest with Hockey, Football, Volleyball, Golf, Cross Country and Cheer leading. Please use caution when leaving the campus as teams will be utilizing all parts of the campus for practices.
Lunchroom: Please remember to follow Covid-19 guidance in the teacher's room with proper distancing, mask wearing and conversation. Hopefully the warmer weather will allow many of you to be able to eat outside soon.
In-Person Related - As was previous emailed, we will begin in-person classes for juniors and seniors in block 4 on Tuesday and Thursday. This will be for civics, related and wellness. Please be sure to seat students by academic classroom in your classes. Spreadsheet If you could please tell your students on Monday which room you will be meeting in on Tuesday that would be helpful.
Department Head Meeting - Academic and Vocational department heads will be meet at 2:35 on Tuesday afternoon. Among the agenda topics will be a look at events for the remainder of the school year.
From the Vocational Office:
Projects of the Week
(Allied Health and Graphic Communication freshman collaborated on a health education project. AH students were tasked with researching an infectious disease and GC students made their ideas come to life with creative poster presentations! Metal Fabrication/Welding designed and created custom projects using their CNC cutter!)
As with everything covid, we sometimes let the little less important things slip by. I would ask that as we slowly return to what is normal that you as classroom teachers and shop instructors start to reinforce the cell policies that we had prior to covid. The only exception is that we still do not want to be collecting them in the classroom/shops. We have been noticing more and more students making and taking phone calls during the school when they should be focused on the course studies. In addition we are seeing an uptick in cyber issues. We will also be sending this message home to parents and students. Thank you for your support in helping to control this wildfire.
With 82 students out on co-op (and counting!), tracking down time cards is no easy task. Please follow-up with your students who are missing time cards, late with time cards, or don’t have sections of their time cards filled out. We want you to have the most accurate information to assign a grade for co-op weeks. Thank you for your help!
